This was a fun one to do. I love interaction between characters, its probably my favorite thing about drawing/ designing characters. I also have been wanting to go more cartoony with my mermaids, and I finally did. Brilliant colors by Jeremiah Skipper. The original art is for purchase in my Store.

Since today is "Star Wars Day" (May 4th), I switched up what I was going to post and added this one. I had told myself I wasn't going to draw #ariel all #MerMay, but I thought this idea was even cuter with a recognizable character. The original sketch is in my Store for sale. I was recently asked to create a Variant cover for Betty and Veronica #1 (coming out in July). The funny thing is the editors at Archie didn't select any of these concepts. They went back to one of my first sketches of the girls. Very simple layout. It was a blast to do and I hope to do more with the Archie gang.
