Today and yesterday's #Mermays!

Here's the last two days of #MerMay drawings.  I still haven't done the full range of mermaid drawings and styles I want to do.  The Embrace one is at least a little different for me.  I haven't had a ton of time to experiment like I'd like to, so many of these have fallen into my "usual style", which is a bit disappointing for me.  Still, doing a new one (in color, thanks to Jeremiah Skipper) every day (except weekends) is hard enough, right?  Both of these originals are for sale in my Store!

Hey All!  I haven't been great about posting here with every #MerMay mermaid I've been doing, sorry about that.  The best place to see them is on my Instagram (tombancroft1), but I want to play catch up and post a few here.  Enjoy!  Some original art mermaids coming in the next couple days, so watch for those.  

Happy Graduation from me and Minnie!

I did this for a special friend who is graduating HS Saturday, but I thought I'd share it for all of those out there that are graduating, or have recently.  Me and Minnie say "Happy Graduation"!  Hand inked with Kuretake brush pens, color with Copic markers.  

#MerMay, Day 13- Punk Mermaid

Not all mermaids are cut from the same cloth.  Some like things with a little "edge" to it.  Thanks to Jeremiah Skipper for these awesome colors.  Happy Friday the 13th also.  I'm not posting mermaids this weekend because I'm out of town, see you Monday for more.  ALSO- ONE week left to be a part of my "Art of Tom Bancroft" Kickstarter- of which, this mermaid is going to be included!  

#Mermay, Day 12: Pouty Mermaid

This was inspired by a photo I saw- which was actually of a little girl with long hair- but I liked the attitude and stance.  Mermaidized!  The original is in my Store for purchase, if interested!  ALSO- Its the last 8 days of my Art of Tom Bancroft Kickstarter!  Check it out please.  

#Mermay, Day 11: Horsing Around

This was a fun one to do.  I love interaction between characters, its probably my favorite thing about drawing/ designing characters.  I also have been wanting to go more cartoony with my mermaids, and I finally did.  Brilliant colors by Jeremiah Skipper.   The original art is for purchase in my Store.

This one was a lot of fun, I wanted to try a rougher inking style and a moodier feel.  Out of my usual box, but I'm happy how it came out.  Brilliant subtle colors by Jeremiah Skipper.  The original black and white art is for purchase in my Store.  

#MerMay #4, original sketch- Ariel Force!

Since today is "Star Wars Day" (May 4th), I switched up what I was going to post and added this one.  I had told myself I wasn't going to draw #ariel all #MerMay, but I thought this idea was even cuter with a recognizable character.  The original sketch is in my Store for sale.  Thank you ALL for taking part in my #MerMay event this month!  Its already been a huge success.  ALSO- my Kickstarter for the Art of Tom Bancroft book is going on right now too.  Search my name on Kickstarter for more on that.  

Ariel Force-  sounds like a good action film title
